Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a report from an individual on CR 5, Burnstown Township at 10:59 a.m. that someone was tearing up a road with a four-wheeler. A report was done for documentation.
New Ulm Police
• Received paperwork regarding a theft at Cashwise Liquor, 1216 Westridge Road at 3:17 p.m. March 30.
• Stopped a vehicle at 13th St. S. and Valley. A 30-year-old Sleepy Eye man faces a driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety charge. Vehicle plates were removed.
• Received a report of a suspicious person at the New Ulm Smokeshop at 10:26 a.m. March 31. The suspect fled before police stopped and arrested a 49-year-old New Ulm woman for DWI. Vehicle plates were removed. A report will be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Received a criminal damage to property report at Anytime Fitness, 128 Main St. E. at 5:13 p.m. March 30. A door was kicked in. A damage estimate was not available. Police do not have suspects at this time.
Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at TH 60 and Blue Earth County Road 44, Madison Lake, at 3:45 p.m. March 30. A 2021 Dodge Ram pickup driven by James E. Hedlund, 51, Hampton, was eastbound on TH 60 when it collided with a 2010 Volkswagon sedan driven by Eni Muca, 22, Mankato, who was northbound on CR 44. Muca and a passenger, Mick Van De Kolk, 18, Mankato, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health Care System, Mankato with non-life threatening injuries. Everyone wore seat belts. Madison Lake Police and the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office assisted. Alcohol was not involved.
