Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Property reported found in Sigel Township at 4:08 p.m. March 29. No other information was available.
New Ulm Police
• Received a catalytic converter theft between March 21-27 at 1995 Luther Ct. at 4:49 p.m. March 29. Damage was estimated at $300. A report was done for documentation.
• Received a disturbance report at 4:49 p.m. March 29 at 1100 16th St. N. involving a 29-year-old New Ulm man who went into an apartment, grabbed a four-year-old girl, then returned her unharmed to the apartment and returned to his apartment. A incident is under investigation.
• Stopped a vehicle at Broadway and 5th St. N. at 12:40 a.m. March 30. Police found drug paraphernalia, marijuana wax and alcohol possessed by a 20-year-old New Ulm male. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Assisted Allina Ambulance at 41 Village Lane with a 13-year-old autistic male who was out of control. Police calmed the teen before his parents took him to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Room. Nobody was hurt or injured. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Received a catalytic converter theft report at 926 S. Valley at 1:24 p.m. Damage was estimated at $220. A report was done for documentation.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Responded to a domestic assault report involving a juvenile at Ross Park Apartments, 313 4th Ave. S.E. at 2:22 a.m. March 30. The suspect, a Sleepy Eye man, fled the residence. A report will be sent to the Sleepy Eye City Attorney or Brown County Attorney’s Office, depending on level of charges. No injuries or damage were reported.
Springfield Police
• Responded to a suspicious activity report at 20 Maple St. W. at 7:21 p.m. March 29. A resident called police about a suspicious person running through their yard. Police responded to the scene where the suspect, a 36-year-old Springfield man pushed an officer and kicked in two squad car doors and later broke a squad vehicle taillight at the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division. The suspect was later transferred to the Brown County Jail. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.
