New Ulm Police
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without injuries at Jacobs Street and Westridge Road at 8:30 a.m. March 29. A 2015 Ford Escape driven by Lori L. Pietz, 52, New Ulm, was behind a street sweeper and stopped at the stop sign facing west on Westridge Road at the intersection with Jacobs Street. Pietz pulled around the street sweeper and in front of a 2004 GMC Yukon Denali driven by Bethany M. Demarais, 30, Courtland. The vehicles collided in the intersection. Both vehicles had disabling damage. Both drivers wore seat belts.
• Received a report at 6:55 p.m. March 28 from a 40-year-old New Ulm woman who said she was missing tax documents from her residence on the 1000 block of Minnesota St. N. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review.
• Received a report at 9:42 a.m. March 29 from the Minnesota Valley Action Council Thrift & More store, 1607 S. Broadway. Suspects include a 42-year-old New Ulm man driving a vehicle that stopped in the store parking lot and suspects took items from a dumpster. A report was done for documentation.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Arrested a 44-year-old Sleepy Eye woman on an apprehension and detention order for a probation violation-deprive of custody rights-violation of court order at 504 Main St. W. at 12:45 p.m. March 29.
McLeod County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded with Brownton and Hutchinson Police to a disturbance on East Street in Stewart at 12:21 March 28. Abigail Navarro, 22, Hutchinson, was arrested for probable cause DWI and transported to the McLeod County Jail. Deputies cleared with reports.
