New Ulm Police
• Received an SUV-deer crash report without injuries at 5th North Street and West Street at 8:09 a.m. Dec. 17. An SUV driven by Jaime B. Brand, 31, New Ulm, was eastbound on 5th North when a deer hit the rear driver’s door and fender of the vehicle. Vehicle damage was moderate. Brand wore a seat belt.
• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Fairfax man at Emerson Union Apartments parking lot, 15 N. State St. at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 15. The vehicle registration expired June 20, 2020. The driver admitted to no vehicle insurance. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Essig woman for driving after license revocation at the Cash Wise Food parking lot at 9:13 p.m. Dec. 15. The driver admitted to having no vehicle insurance.
•Received a domestic assault call at New Ulm Mobile Village, 2526 Bridge St. S. at 11:37 a.m. Dec. 16. A 17-year-old New Ulm female admitted to slapping a 23-year-old New Ulm man. She said he pulled her to the floor, which he denied. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
Minnesota State Patrol
• Received a one-vehicle crash report on TH 22 at 160th Street, Hassan Valley Township, McLeod County, at 9:01 a.m. Dec. 16. A 2003 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Sergio Mireles-Flores, 21, Glencoe, was southbound on TH 22, lost control and rolled into the ditch. Mireles and passengers Carson S. Duesterhoeft, 20, Stewart; and Joshua D. Ramirez, 23, Hutchinson, did not wear seat belts. All were transported to a Hutchinson hospital emergency room with non life-threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. Hutchinson Police and the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
