New Ulm Police

• Received an assault report at 2:40 a.m. Saturday at 407 15th Street S. The alleged victim, a 21-year-old New Ulm man said a 21-year-old New Ulm woman forced her way into his apartment and stabbed him with a knife, causing a one-inch wound in his hand. The man did not seek medical attention. The woman was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a vehicle at 16th St. S. and Valley at 7:54 p.m. Saturday. The driver was cited for expired registration, no valid driver’s license, no insurance and failure to transfer title. The vehicle was towed to the city impound lot. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

Brown County

Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a disturbance call at 120 2nd St., Cobden at 6:07 p.m. Friday. An intoxicated 34-year-old New Ulm woman resisted arrest, before being arrested by two deputies and transported to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Room, then the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division. Deputies said the woman broke five vehicle windows and a residence window and started a backyard fire. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Received an animal complaint call at 3rd ave. N.W. and St. Mary’s Street at 11:52 a.m. Sunday. A loose dog reportedly attacked another dog. A dog that believed to be some type of Australian sheep dog was impounded. The other dog was not found.

Springfield Police

• Received a burglary report at 301 Park Ave. S. at 12:19 p.m. Sunday. A chain saw valued at $125 was taken from a garage sometime in the last 3 weeks. There was no sign of forced entry.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on County Highway 2, about 1/2 mile north of Morgan at 9:02 p.m. Aug. 31. A 2002 Subaru Outback driven by Cory Faulds, 32, Morgan, was northbound on County Highway 2 when he collided with Evelyn Urban, 59, Morgan, who was walking in the northbound lane on County Highway 2. She was flown from the scene by North Memorial Air Care. Vehicle damage was moderate. Also assisting on scene were Morgan Ambulance Service, the Morgan Fire Dept., the Minnesota State Patrol and the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.
