New Ulm Police

• Received a call from Franzen Bank at 1:08 p.m. Monday about a counterfeit $20 bill that was passed at Perkins Family Restaurant & Bakery, 1727 S. Broadway. A police investigator is working on the case.

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries on State Highway 4 at 760th Avenue, Martinsburg Township, Renville County at 9:37 p.m. Jeffrey T. Swanson, 57, Hector, was driving a 1997 Polaris Sportsman ATV (all-terrain vehicle) south on Highway 4, turned east onto 760th Avenue, left the road and rolled. He was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. He did not wear a helmet and alcohol was involved. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Hector Police and Ambulance and North Memorial Flight assisted.

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 909 Main Street, Sanborn, Redwood County at 11:06 p.m. Saturday. A 1996 Chevy CK 1500 driven by Joshua A. Fuhrman, 23, New Ulm, was southbound when it left the road and rolled. Fuhrman did not wear a seat belt and was transported to Windom Hospital. Alcohol was involved.

Sheriff’s Office

• Assisted Brownton Police with a disturbance on 2nd Street North in Brownton at 12:59 p.m. Friday.

• Assisted with a civil standby on Prior Street in Stewart at 1 p.m. Friday.

• Found a phone at Swan Lake Park, three miles northwest of Silver Lake at 3:26 a.m. Sunday. The phone was brought to the sheriff’s office.
