State Patrol

• Received a two-vehicle crash report with non-life threatening injuries at 10:39 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of State Highway 15 and Sibley county Road 8, Cornish Township, Sibley County. A 2004 Honda Odyssey driven by Jeremy D. Brandt, 37, Le Sueur, was westbound on CR 8 when it collided with a 2005 Mazda 3 southbound on Highway 15, driven by Craig W. Carlson, 59, Hutchinson. Carlson was transported to New Ulm Medical Center. Brandt and a passenger, Nicholas S. Tijerina, 33, Apple Valley, were not injured. All three people wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Lafayette Fire/Ambulance and Winthrop Ambulance assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report with no reported injuries at 10:16 a.m. Thursday at 5th North and Garden Street. A 2006 Jeep Commander driven by Megan E. Hietala, 21, New Ulm was in front of a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Trax driven by Robert L. Ahlers, 77, New Ulm, on German Street when the Chevrolet rear-ended the Jeep at the 5th North stop sign. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. They were drivable from the scene. Both drivers wore seat belts.

• Received a call from detox about a 16-year-old Elko boy who assaulted two staff members, causing minor injuries. The boy was arrested and transported to Prairie Lakes Juvenile Detention Center in Willmar.

• Received a call at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday from the parents of a 25-year-old New Ulm man who lives on the 1400 block of 7th Street North who were looking for him. The man returned home unharmed. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Received a criminal damage to property report at 7:08 a.m. Thursday from 320 Walnut St. S.E. A resident reported a car, pickup truck and boat tire were slashed over the past two nights. A damage estimate was not available.
