New Ulm Police

• Received a one-vehicle crash report at Center and Washington Street at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday. A 2016 car driven by Darla Gebhard, 72, New Ulm, was westbound on Center Street in the inside lane when she began a left turn to go southbound on Washington Street when she collided with a vehicle driven by Brian Tohal, 63, who was in the outside traffic lane, eastbound on Center. Gebhard failed to yield right of way, according to the news release.

• Received a vandalism report at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday at Hillside Apartments, 1513 Payne St. N. Witnesses reported seeing a person enter an apartment window screen. A pet bird was reported missing. Suspects are 30 and 40-year-old New Ulm men. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for consideration of theft and burglary charges.

• Received a report at 6:14 a.m. Wednesday of a rear license plate stolen from a vehicle at the Kraft parking lot. A report was made for documentation purposes.

• Received a report at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday of both vehicle license plates stolen from a vehicle at 1421 S. Valley St. A report was made for documentation purposes.

• Recognized a 37-year-old New Ulm man and stopped him at 10:29 a.m. Wednesday at State Highway 15 and Bridge St. S. for a revoked driver’s license and no insurance. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

Springfield Police

• Received a burglary report at 2:19 p.m. Wednesday at 405 Van Dusen St. W. A resident said a garage door was kicked open but it appeared nothing was stolen.

• Received a theft report a few minutes later at 328 Van Dusen St. W. A resident reported about $100 in change was taken from a console in an unlocked vehicle.
