State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries at 5:16 p.m. Saturday on State Highway 5 and 170th Avenue, Washington Lake Township, Sibley County. A 2013 Harley Davidson RS driven by Curtis A. Bechtold, 59, Monticello, was northbound on Highway 5 when he hit a deer. Bechtold and a passenger, Carmen R. Bechtold, 55, Monticello, were transported to Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia. They both had life-threatening injuries and did not wear helmets. The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle at 1301 S. Broadway at 11:31 a.m. Monday that was recognized to have a revoked driver’s license. The driver was cited for a revoked license, no insurance and failure to transfer title.

Brown County

Sheriff’s Office

• Assisted the Sanborn Fire Department for a grass fire at Mound Creek County Park at 6:57 p.m. Monday. A small amount of grass was burned. The fire may have been caused by fireworks.
