New Ulm Police

* Responded to a call from New Ulm Public Utilities regarding a concerning letter received from a 61-year-old New Ulm woman Wednesday. The woman was found at her residence on the 400 block of South State St. She admitted she had mental health issues and was referred to a Brown County Human Services mental health specialist.

* Arrested a 25-year-old New Ulm man at 9:33 a.m. Thursday at the Brown County Probation Office for a probation violation and transported him to the Brown County Jail.

* Received an attempt to locate call at 9:56 a.m. Thursday and found a 30-year-old New Ulm man in a North Park shelter with knives. The knives were removed from the uncooperative man’s person. He was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for evaluation.

* Received a welfare check request at 2:03 p.m. Thursday at the 600 block of 5th Street North from the wife of an 80-year-old New Ulm man having a mental health crisis. The man was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for evaluation.
