New Ulm Police

* Were flagged down by a 20-year-old New Ulm man at 6th Street S. and Payne at 9:13 p.m. Tuesday. The man said he picked up a 12-year-old New Ulm boy who was crying and was on his way to the law enforcement center when he saw an officer. Police noticed a hand injury on the boy and took him to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment. The injury happened when the boy punched a wall at home and got into an argument with his mother, according to the report. The mother was contacted and came to the hospital but was uncooperative with police. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
