New Ulm Police

• Responded to a phone scam/fraud complaint at a residence on 12th St. N. at 10:16 a.m., Friday. A resident said they received a phone call from the Social Security Administration that their Social Security Number (SSN) was being used fraudulently. The resident gave their SSN and bank account numbers but no theft was reported. Police advise people to close and change bank account numbers if such an event occurs.

McLeod County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a one-vehicle rollover without injuries at 9:31 a.m. Thursday near CR 7 and 85th Street north of Stewart involving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Emmanuel Atuke, 19, Hutchinson. Buffalo Lake Ambulance and the Stewart Fire Dept. assisted.
