New Ulm Police

• Responded to a possible Order For Protection (OFP) violation involving text messages between a 40-year-old New Ulm man and 33-year-old New Ulm woman at 826 Minnesota St. N. at 6:13 p.m. Thursday. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review.

• Responded to a domestic call at 415 N. Broadway at 1:11 a.m. Friday.. A 44-year-old New Ulm man was transported to detox. There were no injuries or damage done.

• Responded to a fight reported at New Ulm High School, 1600 Oak St. involving 16 and 14-year-old boys. No serious injuries were reported. A report was sent to Brown County Probation since one of the suspects is on probation.

• Responded to a theft report at New Ulm High School at 2:08 p.m. Friday. Pills were reported taken from a student.

• Responded to a possible OPF violation at 826 Minnesota St. N. at 2:53 p.m. Friday. A 40-year-old New Ulm man was arrested.

• Responded to a domestic call at 415 6th St. N. at 8:25 p.m. Friday. A 59-year-old New Ulm woman reported being punched by a 54-year-old New Ulm man. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review. Police returned to the address at 2:19 p.m. Saturday for a disturbance call. Nobody was hurt and no damage was reported.

• Responded to a sledding accident at Harmon Park at 4:15 p.m. Sunday. A juvenile girl was transported to New Ulm Medical Center.

• Received a two-vehicle crash report with no reported injuries in icy conditions at 5:21 p.m. Dec. 17 on the 1300 block of Oak Street, New Ulm. A 2007 Dodge flatbed, conflicting reports of who was driving, was facing north on Garden Street in the eastbound lane when it backed up in an attempt to get out of the turn lane and proceed across Highway 14 and backed into a 2007 Chevy Impala driven by Celeste L. Haukoos, 19, Gibbon. Damage was moderate to the Chevy.

State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on State Highway 68 and Redwood County Road 6, Vail Township, Wabasso, at 3:42 p.m. Dec. 19. A 2006 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Tristan M. Hay, 40, Tracy, was westbound on Highway 68, turning south onto CR 6 when it collided with a 2005 Chevy Colorado driven by William T. Cherp, 78, Henderson, who was westbound on Highway 68 and tried to pass Hay on the the left. Hay was transported to Tracy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Wabasso Fire and Ambulance assisted.
