Springfield Police

• Police responded to a burglary 10:20 a.m. Friday at the 300 block of O Connell Ave. N. Sometime between midnight at 6 a.m. a Honda push lawnmower and miter saw was taken from a garage. The saw was estimated to cost $350. The value of the lawn mower is unknown.

The garage was unlocked at the time of the theft.

In addition, a tire of a truck parked across the street was found with a slashed tire. The owner of the truck resided at the same address as the burglary.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Received a one-vehicle crash report at 7:01 p.m. Thursday on TH 4, Albin Township, Brown County. A 2018 Freightliner loaded with livestock driven by Jamison M. Cole 26, Ringsted, Ia. was southbound on TH 4, approached a curve near Watonwan County Road 136, left the road and rolled onto the passenger side. Cole did not wear a seat belt and was transported to the St. James Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office and St. James Fire Department assisted.
