New Ulm Police
• Police stopped a 20-year-old New Ulm male driver for speeding at 16th Street North and Broadway at 6:20 p.m. Thursday. An officer noticed a metallic pouch in a glove box that contained a green, leafy substance. A vehicle search revealed more drug paraphernalia. The man was arrested on a trespassing warrant. He was cited for speeding, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession and taken to the Brown County Jail.
• Received a vandalism report at Lincoln Park, 718 S. State St. at 7:55 p.m. Thursday. A water fountain was found broken after a juvenile sat on it. A report will be sent to City of New Ulm for review.
• Received a disturbance report at the B&L Bar, 15 N. Minnesota St. at 12:36 a.m. Friday. A 28-year-old New Ulm woman refused to leave the establishment. She was transported to detox.
• Received an information report at New Ulm Middle School, 414 Payne St. S. at 12:59 p.m. Friday. A juvenile reported family issues. A report will be forwarded to Brown County Human Services for follow-up.
