New Ulm Police

• A two vehicle accident occurred at 12:14 p.m. Saturday at the Hwy 14 and N. Garden Street intersection. A 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Donald Lee Nitchie, 65, of New Ulm was southbound on Garden Street through the intersection. A 2014 Chevy Equinox driven by Daniel Henry Rick, 30, of Sleepy Eye was eastbound on Hwy 14. The Chevy was unable to stop due to the ice/snow road conditions and collided with the Toyota in the intersection.

The Toyota received disabling damage and the Chevy sustain moderate functional damage.

No injuries were reported.

Minnesota State Patrol

A New Ulm woman received non-life threatening injuries in a two vehicle crash in Watonwan County Friday.

The accident occured at 8:42 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 15 and Watonwon County Rd 3 in Madelia Township.

Victoria M. McCauley, 55, of San Tan Valley, AZ, was heading south on Hwy 15 in a 2013 Dodge Caravan. Lydia Diaz. 32, of New Ulm, driving a 2006 Toyota Matrix, turned from County Road 3 northbound onto Hwy 15 and was hit.

Diaz was taken to Madelia Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. McCauley was not injured.
