Sheriff’s Office

• Received a two-vehicle crash report on Brown County Road 13, about one-half mile north of Hanska at 7:59 a.m. Monday. A 2012 Chrysler Town & County driven by Paula J. Braaten, 27, was northbound on CR 13 when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2011 Freightliner semi-tractor/trailer driven by Mitchell G. McGee, 26, Shell Rock, Iowa. Braaten was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. McGee was only treated at the scene. The Chrysler was demolished. Damage was severe to the Freightliner. Both drivers wore seat belts. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Hanska Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Madelia Ambulance responded to the scene.

New Ulm Police

• Received a report of a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and Brown County Road 29 at 11:50 a.m. Monday. A 2013 Dodge Dart driven by Jennifer Krosch, 18, New Ulm, was westbound, slowing for a traffic signal when was rear-ended by a GMC Jimmy driven by Lexi Krosch, 18, New Ulm. Damage was light to the Dodge and moderate to the GMC. Both drivers wore seat belts.
