• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-life-threatening injuries on State Highway 15 at County Road 17, Penn Township, McLeod County at 12:37 p.m. Friday. A 2018 Kenworth construction tractor driven by Gregory A. Portner, 64, New Ulm, was southbound on Highway 15 when it crossed the center line and entered the opposite ditch. Portner was transported to a Glencoe hospital. He wore a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved. Assisting were Brownton Fire and Police, Winthrop Fire, Hutchinson Ambulance and the McLeod County Sherriff’s Office.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with life-threatening injuries on State Highway 15 at milepost 79, Transit Township, Sibley County at 9:15 a.m. Friday. A 1999 Chevy K1500 SUV driven by Eric R. Pagel, 36, Winthrop, and a 2016 International Prostar semi driven by Christopher H. Klossner, 30, Sleepy Eye, were northbound on Highway 154 when the Pagel stopped to turn left and was rear-ended by the semi. Pagel was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. Klossner was not injured. Both men wore seat belts. Assisting were the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, Winthrop Fire and Ambulance and Mayo Air Care.
