New Ulm Police

• Police received a call 3:15 p.m. Saturday regarding suspicious activity at the Community Center. Police found two juveniles in a vehicle smoking marijuna. Officers administered citations.

• A property damage report was received 6:34 p.m. Saturday at Minnesota St. and Center. A 2016 Ford Escape was keyed.

Renville County

Sheriff

On Saturday at approximately 1:56 p.m., the Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a one-vehicle rollover. The crash occurred on Renville County Road 5, east of 410th Street. That location is approximately 3 miles southeast of Franklin in Camp Township.

The preliminary crash investigation revealed that a 2000 Dodge Durango, driven by David Jacobson, 18, of Redwood Falls was traveling west on Renville County Road 5 when the vehicle started sliding on the ice. The vehicle went off the roadway causing it to roll.

Jacobson received non-life threatening injuries in the crash. He was transported to Redwood Area Hospital for evaluation.

Assisting on the scene were the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Franklin Ambulance, Franklin Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance-Redwood Falls.
