New Ulm Police

• Received an assault report at New Ulm High School, 1600 Oak St. at 3:14 p.m. Monday. Police interviewed a student and parent and continue to investigate the case.

• Received a suspicious activity report at Martin Luther College, 1995 Luther Ct. at 11:03 a.m. Tuesday. The report includes unusual letters received from an out-of-state sender, who was contacted and told to case and desist.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

• Received a single-vehicle crash report with injuries on CSAH 1, one-half mile north of State Highway 68 at 11:58 a.m. Monday. A 2003 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Makenzie Ehlers, 27, Clements, was northbound on CSAH 1, entered the west ditch, hitting a field approach, rolled, and came to a rest upside down in the ditch. She was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital by North Memorial Air Care. The vehicle was demolished. Assisting on scene were Clements First Responders, Clements Fire Department, Morgan Ambulance, North Memorial Ambulance, North Memorial Air Care, the Minnesota State Patrol, Lamberton Police and the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.

Renville County

Sheriff’s Office

• Received a one-vehicle crash report believed to have happened on Redwood County Road 101, near the Minnesota River at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday. The crash location was later determined to have happened in Renville County, near the intersection of CR 1 and CR 15, northwest of Morton in Beaver Falls Township.

A 2003 Toyota Tundra driven by Vicki Phillips, Redwood Falls, was northbound on CR 1, swerved to miss a deer standing on the road. The vehicle went out of control, entered the ditch, hit a rocky embankment and had moderate damage. Philipps was transported to the Renville County Hospital by North Memorial Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting on scene were the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and North Memorial Ambulance.
