Brown County Sheriff’s Department

• Brown County Dispatch was notified of a motor vehicle rollover 9:49 p.m. Friday on County Road 7 near 185th Street in the Leavenworth township. Upon arrival, deputies located the driver, Colton Robert Borth, 21, standing outside his vehicle, a 2011 GMC Sierra. Borth was traveling southbound on CR 7 when he lost control and slid across the bridge deck and down the ditch embankment. The vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its side in a field on the east side of CR 7. The vehicle sustained major damage and is considered a total loss. Borth said he was uninjured and was not transported by ambulance.

New Ulm Police

• Police received a burglary report 9:21 p.m. Saturday 1300 N. Water St. An ice house stored at this location was broken into, the padlock was cut. Several items inside the ice house were reported stolen, including: a $500 Jiffy Ice Auger; a $115 Big Buddy Heater; two ice fishing rods valued at $70; a tackle box and tackle valued at $200; a $50 portable radio; $20 flashlight and two small propane tanks.

• Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Highway 14 and Highland Avenue about 5:21 p.m. Saturday. Paul Christopher Lenz, 48, of St. James, driving a 2000 Buick LeSabre, was northbound across the eastbound lanes of Highway 14 and came to a stop in the middle of the road, before the westbound lanes. Cheri Lynn Ehret, 58 of New Ulm, driving a 2012 Ford Edge, was traveling southbound across the westbound lanes of Highway 14 and was trying to turn into the eastbound lanes from Highland Avenue. The front of her vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of Lenz’s car. There was minor damage to the side of Lenz’s car, and moderate damage to the front of Ehret’s car.

• Police responded to a two-vehicle accidents at 6th North and Broadway at about 5:27 p.m. Saturday. Greg Jensen, 57, of Redwood Falls, driving a 2006 Chrysler 300, and John Dack, 76, of Granite Falls, driving a 2016 Chevy Colorado, were both northbound on Broadway near 7th North Street, Jensen made a right hand turn into the Walgreen’s parking lot and was struck from behind by Dack. A passenger in Jensen’s car had a suspected minor injury. The vehicles both suffered minor damage.
