New Ulm Police

• At 12:24 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a vehicle accident at Highway 14 and North Garden Street. A 2018 Dodge pickup, driven by Evan Jackson, 29, of St. Paul was stopped facing east on Highway 14 for a semaphore light. The light changed from red to green and before Jackson started moving he was rear-ended by a 2009 Nissan Murano, driven by Sandra Massey, 37, of New Richland. Both vehicles sustained light damage. No injuries were reported.

• A crash report without injuries was reported at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday at 1st North and German Street. A 2012 International semi driven by Francis Kiyimba, 47, Savage, was westbound on 1st North Street in the 400 block, underneath the mall, when it hit a hanging low-clearance sign, knocking it down and hitting the underside of the mall further up.
