NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce stopped at United Prairie Bank to welcome Karen Haala as the new United Prairie insurance agent. Living just outside of Hanska, Karen is a native to the area and was previously with SouthPoint Financial Credit Union for 9 years as a lender. She explained how this was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up to help her grow personally as well as professionally. She is fully licensed, handling personal and business lines of insurance: auto, home owners, recreational vehicles, farm, crop, umbrella, life, health, group health, commercial property, commercial general liability, and more! She is in the process of mastering the medicare/medicaid system, now that she has successfully completed her necessary training. Karen joins a staff of 11 here in New Ulm. United Prairie has locations in 14 communities across southern and central Minnesota.
