NEW ULM — The Willkommen Committee of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce visited the The Grand Center for Arts & Culture to check out their recent remodeling of the third-floor apartment and the basement area.

Anne Makepeace, The Grand’s executive director, said the building was previously owned by her great grandfather. Artists can stay in two rooms on the second floor and one on the third floor.

A newly remodeled apartment on the third floor is now available to rent on Airbnb. The apartment has a complete kitchen, living space with sofa bed, bedroom with queen size bed and a larger bathroom. Makepeace is preparing for a printing space, complete with type setting and printing presses for posters and even film, in the basement. A grand opening is planned for early May.
