Willkommen, Furth-Meile Insurance

The Willkommen Committee stopped to welcome Furth-Meile Insurance to their new home at 26 S Broadway! They have been located on north Minnesota Street for the last 50 years. Their move was not far, about a block or 2, to the former Bank Midwest location. Meile Insurance Agency was founded in 1893 and the Furth Insurance Agency was founded in 1939. The two merged in 1970. Tom Furth, who joined the family business in 2000, says they are loving their new central location and bigger space. They now have a conference room and extra space that will accommodate future generations to join the family business. Furth-Meile Insurance is New Ulm’s oldest and largest independent insurance agency with over 100 years of local operation and family ownership.
