NUMC internship experience

NEW ULM – From October through December, eight senior students from New Ulm High School were introduced to different health care fields through a monthly department rotation at New Ulm Medical Center.
Eight departments participated: Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Care Management (Social Work), Radiology, Oncology, Birth Center/Respiratory Therapy, Med Surg, Lab and Pharmacy.
This was the first was the first run of a pilot project between NUMC, the school and its students. The goal is to help influence future health care career decisions.
