New Ulm Area Foundation announces fall grants

New Ulm Area Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the awarding of grants from its Fall 2022 granting cycle. The Foundation received numerous well-written applications, and it was difficult to decide among the many deserving requests. Grants totaling $39,877 were approved by the Board of Directors as follows:

· $5,000 to Community and Seniors Together (CAST) for 2023 Activities and Programs

· $4,500 to New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation for Strategic Planning

· $10,000 to Oak Hills Memorial Foundation for Memory Care and Assisted Living Center Expansion

· $5,000 to Grand Center for Arts & Culture to develop Art Therapy program

The following grants were made possible from the Dr. James & Jane Seifert Fund:

· $2,000 to ProMusica Minnesota for 2022-23 Summit Avenue Series Concerts

· $1,377 to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools for new elementary music education

The following grants were made possible from a generous donation by Roger & Carol Ryberg:

· $6,000 to Turner Hall for Turner History Exhibit

· $6,000 to New Ulm Partnership for Economic Development Website

New Ulm Area Foundation is proud of the work being done by these organizations to help improve the quality of life in our community.
