Oakwood Spaghetti Supper postponed

NEW ULM — Oakwood United Methodist Church is postponing its Spaghetti Supper, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 11, to Thursday, May 16 because of the weather.

It will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the church, 1630 Oakwood Ave., New Ulm. A free-will offering will be taken. Proceeds will benefit the New Ulm Food Shelf.

Legion Chili Supper

NEW ULM — The New Ulm American Legion will hold its Chili Supper and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 13, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. (or until the chili is gone).

The cost is $8 for adults, and $4 for children 10 and under. It will be held at the American Legion Club, 13 South Minnesota St., New Ulm

Proceeds will be used to benefit Brown County veterans.

Hanska Spaghetti ‘Dinner Saturday

HANSKA — The Hanska Community Library is hosting its annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the lower level of the Hanska Community Center, 201 Broadway St., Hanska.

Admission is by free will offering. All proceeds benefit the Hanska Community Library.

Fields of Grace Ham Bingo Saturday

LAFAYETTE — The Fields of Grace Youth will hold a Ham Bingo on Saturday, April 13, starting at 6 p.m. in the Lafayette Fire Station. All ages are welcome.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. There will be beverages and lunch available.

There will be 40 games, including two blackouts. Play 20 games for $10, or all 40 for $20. Ham door prizes will be given out, too.

All proceeds will benefit Fields of Grace Youth.

Palm Sunday Brunch and Bake Sale

NEW ULM — St. Mary’s CCW will hold its Palm Sunday Brunch and Bake Sale on Sunday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm, 417 S. Minnesota St.

Menu includes ham, sausage and eggs, german potato salad, schmierkuchen, bread, applesauce, cake, coffee, juice and milk.

Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 4-11, with chidren under 4 free.

SAMS season finale

NEW ULM — The final Summit Avenue Music concert features Artymiw & Smith on Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m.

Hailed by the New York Times as “winningly individual,” cellist Wilhelmina Smith’s performances have received critical acclaim.

An acclaimed chamber musician, pianist Lydia Artymiw has collaborated with such celebrated artists as Yo-Yo Ma, Richard Stoltzman and Arnold Steinhardt.

The concert will be held in the Chapel of the Christ at Martin Luther College,1995 Luther Court New Ulm.
