Bedtime Stories at the Library

NEW ULM — ECFE and the New Ulm Public Library will host story time for parents and their preschoolers. Each session will include stories, simple activities, and a free book for each child to take home courtesy of an anonymous donor in our community.

Parents and their Preschools can join us on Wednesday, March 13 from 6 TO 7 pm at the New Ulm Public Library. This is a free family event.

St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast in Nicollet

NICOLLET — The Church of St. Paul in Nicollet will hold a pre-St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast and budket raffle on Sunday, March 10, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served by the mend of the parish. The menu includes ham and sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes and beverage.

Tickets are $8 for adulsts; $3 for children ages 6-12, and free for kids 5 and younger.

This is a Catholic Order of Foresters Court 812 Matching Grant fundraiser for religious education.

Maid-Rites at the American Legion

NEW ULM — The America Legion Club, 13 South Minnesota St., will be serving Maid-Rites on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or until they are gone.

Chamber to honor 2019 Businesses of the Year

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is will honor Citizens Bank Minnesota and Sewing Seeds Quilt Company as the 2019 Businesses of the Year. A banquet to celebrate this distinction will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at the New Ulm Conference Center/Best Western Plus.

The 2019 Business of the Year Banquet will be held at the New Ulm Conference Center/Best Western Plus on Tuesday, March 12th. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with the banquet beginning at 6:15 and a program to follow. Tickets are $25 — reservations are required and accepted now through Friday, March 8 at the New Ulm Area Chamber Office at 1 N. Minnesota St., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Online reservations and more information and about this event is in the community calendar at www.newulm.com.
