NUMAS House donation

A donation of $1,000 was made to the NUMAS House by the St George Catholic Church on Monday July 23. The funds are a percent of the funds raised at the Spring Fever event, hosted each year by people from the St. George Church. The event has a matching grant from the Catholic Order of Foresters. This is the 23rd year this event has been held. The people from St George who attended are Marianne Bianchi ( Play Director), Craig Beranek (President Administrative Council), Tom Brown (Play Actor and C.O.F. Chief Ranger), and Frank Bianchi (Play Actor and C.O.F. Financial Secy). Also in the picture accepting the check is Karla Diehn Shelter Coordinator for the NUMAS Haus and Deacon Timothy Dolan, board member of NUMAS Haus. Left to right back row Deacon Tim, Craig, Tom, Frank and front row Marianne giving check to Karla. NUMAS Haus provides emergency shelter and support services to homeless single mother families with school age children from the New Ulm, Minnesota area. The program is designed to help these families find permanent housing within 90 days, while addressing the root causes of homelessness for each family through counseling, educational programs and case management. The goal is to allow children to remain enrolled in New Ulm schools while their families become established. Numas Haus relies on donations and volunteers from the community to help keep this facility open. Contributions to NUMAS Haus may be mailed to PO Box 291, New Ulm, MN 56073. NUMAS Haus is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
