BCHS meeting March 5

NEW ULM — The Brown County Humane Society will hold its annual meeting in the restaurant area of Turner Hall on Monday, March 5, beginning at 6 p.m.

After a welcome by the Board of Directors Chair Amy Bloedel, members will receive reports on the 2017 activity at the Humane Society, the total number of adoptions, the 2017 economic activity (profit and loss and balance sheet) and the scheduled projects and activities for 2018. Ratification of new members on the board of directors will also occur, as will the election of officers for the upcoming year.

All dues paying members are encouraged to attend. Anyone who wishes to become a member of the Brown County Humane Society and has not yet paid dues can do so at the meeting.

New release movie at Library

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Public Library will show a newly released DVD on Thursday, March 8, at 6 p.m. This movie is rated PG-13 and runs 125 minutes. Popcorn and drinks will be served at this free event, which is sponsored by the Optimist Club of New Ulm. For more information, call the library at 507-359-8334.

Film Society continues Women

Directors series

NEW ULM — New Ulm Film Society, coordinated by Jack Beranek, Steven Sherman and Clay Schuldt, continues its Women Directors series on Tuesday, March 13, at 6 p.m. Free popcorn will be served. Film screenings are sponsored by the Optimist Club of New Ulm.
