NEW ULM — The 37th Annual Parade of Lights featured more than 60 units decked out with thousands of twinkling lights, glowing, illuminated floats, carolers, finishing with Santa at the end.

A large crowed of children of all ages and plenty of adults appeared to enjoy the parade that lasted more than an hour with little wind and a 25-degree temperature.

The parade included a wide variety of units including antique New Ulm Fire Department fire trucks, ghosts and goblins from New Ulm Nightmares Haunted House, royalty from New Ulm and area communities, Brown County Dairy Princesses, church choirs, dance lines, the New Ulm Rolling Thunder Wrestling Club, businesses and industries, church choirs, polka music from the Church of St. George.

Light snow began falling as the parade began and picked up a little as the event rolled along Minnesota Street, from Fourth Street South to Fourth Street North. More snow is forecast for Saturday.

Starting at $4.50/week.
