The New Ulm Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at 7:41 p.m. Thursday at 301 N. Front Street. Upon arrival, the NUFD saw smoke coming from the rear of the house. All occupants were already out of the house. Three pets were removed safely from the house. The fire was contained to the kitchen which received heavy fire damage. The fire is believed to have started with the stove. Firefighters had the fire under control within half and hour, but remained on scene for an hour. No injuries reported.
