City Council President Boettger arrested for DWI

NEW ULM — New Ulm City Council President Andrea Boettger was arrested for misdemeanor 4th-degree DWI by New Ulm Police at 21 N. Payne at 10:21 p.m. Thursday, June 2.

Police said Boettger, 42, who is also the New Ulm Turner Hall executive director, was driving a white 2022 Buick. Police said there was no crash and nobody was hurt and no damage was reported.

She has been city council president since January 2021 and has been the New Ulm Turner Hall executive director since August 2018. She has also been a Region 9 Development Commission board member since January 2021 and was a New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce board member in 2020.
