Commissioners to consider adult treatment court grant

Cooperative agreement with Nicollet County

NEW ULM — Brown County commissioners will consider approving the probation director to sign a cooperative agreement for a Brown and Nicollet County Adult Treatment Court grant on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

The cooperative agreement is ongoing. Brown County is the financial host and Brown and Nicollet County provide $10,500 a year for adult treatment court programs. The Fifth Judicial District provides $7,400 to Brown County each year.

Funds are used for surveillance and support of drug court participants. Leftover funds are used for training Brown and Nicollet County staff that work in the treatment court program.

Commissioners will also consider:

• Signing a contract with Independent School District 88 for Nov. 2, 2021 special election services.

• A Brown County Highway Dept. monthly update.

• A Brown County Public Health daycare/ preschool consultation agreement with Treehouse Preschool at $45 an hour, consistent with the school rate.

• Appointing Stacy Gilb to the Health Insurance Committee as a public health non-union representative as of Sept. 1, 2021.

The meeting starts at 9 a.m. Sept. 2 in the courthouse commissioner’s rom.
