ProMusica Minnesota presents concert

N. Mankato — ProMusica Minnesota presents the second live concert of the spring, Mozart, Previn, & Schumann. This concert features New Ulm-based soprano and Martin Luther College Instructor Kathryn Wurster, Principal Second Violin for the Minnesota Orchestra Peter McGuire, and the return of ProMusica Minnesota’s Artistic Director, pianist Bethel Balge and Associate Principal Cello for the Minnesota Orchestra, Silver Ainomäe.

The performance begins with the sparkling and virtuosic Piano Trio in B-flat Major, K. 502 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Next, Wurster will sing Four Songs by André Previn which beautifully sets poems of Pulitzer and Nobel prize winning novelist Toni Morrison to music. Finally, the concert will conclude with the dramatic and fanciful Fantasy Pieces, Op. 73 by Robert Schumann.

ProMusica Minnesota is committed to providing a safe and comfortable concertgoing experience for our patrons according to Minnesota Department of Health guidelines. Seating is limited, social distancing and masking will be required throughout the performance, and disposable masks will be available if needed. Paper contact will be minimized as well. The hour-long concert will be performed without an intermission.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Purchasing tickets online at ProMusicaMN.com is preferred to reduce paper contact, but remaining tickets will be available for purchase before the concert.

This concert is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
