RENVILLE COUNTY — Fire departments from Olivia, Danube, Renville and Redwood Falls responded to a fire at Jansen Dairy, rural Danube March 26.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 7:46 p.m., March 26 reporting a structure fire in the 80000 block of 300th Street, Troy Township.

A preliminary investigation revealed the fire began in the milking area, believed to have been caused when a faulty wire ignited, causing a barn and silo to become fully engulfed. A damage value was not yet been made. Nobody was injured in the fire, according to a Renville County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Other assisting agencies included Olivia Ambulance Service, Danube Police, the Minnesota State Patrol, and the Renville County Sheriff’s Office.
