NEW ULM — To help students learn more about farming, the New Ulm Farm-City Hub Club presented books about agriculture to the libraries of nine area elementary schools and two public libraries recently. This year’s book donation consisted of a variety of books, with different books given to different schools. Book titles were “Full of Beans,” “Tales of the Dairy Godmother,” “Tech on the Farm,” “Borlaug,” “The Dust Bowl,” “The Many Animals that Live on a Farm” and “Soil, Seeds, Sun and Rain.” The books will help students of all ages learn about agriculture and where their food comes from.

Club presidents Christina Schwab (2020) and Julie Wilson (2021) presented the books in New Ulm and Sleepy Eye while club secretary Ruth Klossner delivered books to Lafayette Charter School and Immanuel Lutheran School, rural Courtland.

Books were delivered to six locations in New Ulm: Jefferson Elementary, Washington Learning Center, New Ulm Middle School, St. Paul’s Lutheran, St. Anthony Catholic Elementary, and the children’s library at New Ulm Public Library.
