KNUJ Farmers’ Market adds COVID-19 safety measures

NEW ULM — Amid the recent pandemic, KNUJ Farmers’ Market is taking steps to help prevent the spread of the disease at its market. The market will be adding signage to inform customers of recommended practices related to COVID 19 pandemic as well as hand washing stations. Funding was provided by a Brown, Nicollet, Le Sueur, and Waseca Counties Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (BNLW SHIP) grant.

“The KNUJ Farmer’s Market is set up according to guidance from MN Farmer’s Market Association to comply with social distancing recommendations and COVID 19 prevention measures,” stated Jim Bartels, manager of the KNUJ Farmer’s Market.

This project aligns with BNLW SHIP’s mission to support access to healthy foods.
