Predatory offender moves to Sleepy Eye

SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye Police Department released information on a 30-year-old predatory offender who served his prison sentence, was recently released from jail and moved to Sleepy Eye.

Paul A. Alonzo moved to the 500 block of 2nd Avenue Northwest on June 25. He was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Alonzo has a history of sexual contact and conduct with two known female teens, according to a June 29 Minnesota release notification.

The notification was released to enhance public safety and protection. It is not intended to increase fear, but rather raise awareness. Law enforcement believes an informed public is a safer public.

Abuse of this information to threaten, harass or intimidate a registered person is unacceptable and such acts could be charged as crimes.
