NU woman sought in teen sex case

NEW ULM — A 19-year-old New Ulm woman accused of having sex with a male more than four years younger than herself is sought by law enforcement.

Criminal sexual conduct charges were filed Tuesday against Eloise M. Apitz, 10 1/2 Minnesota St. N. in Brown County District Court.

According to court documents, New Ulm Police were advised May 26 that a witness wanted to report a 19-year-old female who was having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male.

The witness identified the female as Apitz and the alleged juvenile male victim, and said another individual received nude messages of Apitz and the victim together. In addition, the witness said they received a message from Apitz indicating she and the victim just had sex.

Police met with several witnesses and were shown graphic images of the victim and Apitz.

Police were told the victim and Apitz have been in a sexual relationship since about April 2020.

Apitz was interviewed on May 28. Apitz denied any sexual relationship and said she was aware the alleged victim was 14 when they started to date.

The alleged victim admitted that he and Apitz had consensual sexual intercourse.

Since interviewing Apitz, law enforcement received numerous tips from multiple people that Apitz continued to see the alleged victim in this matter.

A Minnesota arrest warrant was requested to be signed to facilitate public safety.
