Second COVID-19 death reported in Brown County

NEW ULM — Brown County has recorded its second death from the COVID-19 virus, according to an announcement from Brown County Public Health.

In its update posted on Facebook, Public Health said it would not report any additional details on the victim.

The confirmed cases in Brown County remains at 10. Four cases required hospitalization; in seven cases the patients have recovered and one active case remains in isolation.

Across the state, 663 deaths have been reported. Twenty-five new deaths were reported Thursday. A total of 537 of those deaths were long-term health care or assisted living related.

A total of 128,752 COVID-19 tests have been completed in the state, and 13,435 cases have been positively ID’d as COVID-19. A total of 1,605 health care workers have been diagnosed with the disease.
