Property tax due date still May 15

NEW ULM — At this time no changes have been made by the Minnesota Legislature for a delay in the payment of the first half of property taxes. So the May 15 due date is still valid.

The Brown County Courthouse remains closed to the public through May 4 and that date may be extended. Once it is open to the public, staff will continue to practice social distancing. In order to make that a priority, staff encourage taxpayers to use of the following payment options:

By Drop Box

Drop Boxes are located in the Law Enforcement Center parking lot off Washington Street in New Ulm or you may utilize the drop box at the License Bureau – 1900 North Franklin Street.

By Mail

Checks are to be made payable to the Brown County Auditor-Treasurer, envelopes for return mail were included with your tax statement.

Debit/Credit Card

Payments

Personal Online Banking

Many banks allow online bill pay. Contact your bank if you need assistance with making your tax payment in this method.
