NUPD promotes three to corporal

NEW ULM — Three New Ulm Police officers were promoted to corporal at a formal ceremony in the Brown County District Courtroom Oct. 21.

The new corporals are officers Dusty Fleck, Brady Murphy and Eric Gramentz.

A 1997 New Ulm High School graduate, Gramentz attended law enforcement training at Alexandria Tech then earned a degree in law enforcement from Bellevue University. He worked for the Custer, S.D. Sheriff’s Office, Milaca and Gaylord Police Departments before coming to New Ulm.

A 2002 New Ulm High School grad, Fleck studied at Alexandria Tech, earning a law enforcement degree. He’s worked with New Ulm Police since 2005.

A 1995 Hopkins High School graduate, Murphy earned a law enforcement degree at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He began working for the Sleepy Eye Police Department in 2005 before joining New Ulm Police in 2007.
