NUHS gets $10K Education Equity Grant

3M is awarding a $10,000 grant to New Ulm Public High School to assist with the purchase of CAD Software that allows the school’s Career/Technical Education program to teach students skills in STEM careers such as designing parts for fabrication, designing landscape and agricultural layouts and programming CNC machines for milling and lathes. Students will be prepared to earn certifications and be industry-ready for employment. 3M aims to support organizations that can quantifiably measure their success in helping to close the STEM opportunity gap. 3M’s goal is to help to advance equitable outcomes for under-represented populations in STEM and business disciplines and also to build inclusiveness, diversity, strength and vibrancy in communities where 3M operates.
