BC Planning Commission OKs building permit application, final plats

NEW ULM — The Brown County Planning Commission unanimously approved a Conditional Use Permit Application to allow an existing structure plus an addition to be used as a seasonal dwelling in Section 8, Albin Township Tuesday.

Marvin Augustin filed the application for a 14 by 20-foot addition to a hunting shack just north of CR 20, almost a mile east of TH 4, all in the A-1 Agricultural Zoning Protection District. Approval came on a motion by Commissioner Tony Berg, seconded by Commissioner Dennis Potter.

The commission also unanimously approved final plat applications filed by:

• Donna Ahlness on property she owns, known as Jerry Ahlness Subdivision, 7.66 acres, Section 31, Linden Township to split a building site from tillable acres, all in the A-1 Agricultural Protection Zoning District. Action came on a motion by Commissioner Potter, seconded by Commissioner John Rolloff.

• Jerold Peters on property owned by Jerold & Rebecca Peters known as Neilsen Peters Subdivision, 4.69 acres, Section 31, Prairieville Township, motion by Commissioner Rolloff, seconded by Commissioner Berg, to split a building site from tillable acres, all in the A-1 District.

• Justin Walters on property owned by Justin Walters known as Walters 3rd Subdivision, 5.18 acres in Section 2, Lake Hanska Township, motion by Commissioner Berg, seconded by Commissioner Potter. The application splits a building site from tillable acres, all in the A-1 District.

• Daniel Bottin on property owned by Daniel & Susan bottin known as Bottin Farm Subdivision, 3.93 acres, Section 32, Albin Township, motion by Commissioner Rolloff, seconded by Commissioner Potter. The application is to reorganize the building site, all located in the A-1 District.

Planning & Zoning recommendations will be considered by Brown County commissioners at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 23.
