Museum gets donation

From left, Brown County Historical Society collections curator Ryan Harren, BCHS executive director Kathleen Backer, and Schell’s Borderbatch members Dave Vorwerk, Ted Stueber and Dave Weldy pose for a photo Tuesday with a $500 check donated to BCHS by Schell’s Borderbatch. The donation will be used for BCHS’s upcoming exhibit “Wet Stills and Dry Agents: Brown County and the Prohibition Years.” The exhibit opens 1 p.m. Saturday and will feature entertainment and a presentation of Prohibition stories by Denis Warta. Backer said vintage cars will also be parked outside depending on weather. The exhibit opening is hosted by Schell’s Borderbatch, a chapter of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America.
