NEW ULM — The New Ulm Area chamber of Commerce Willkommen Committee held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sippet Coffee & Bagels.

Sippet opened a month ago at 701 N. German St. It is managed by Aron Bode.

Bode spoke to the Willkommen Committee before the ribbon-cutting about the business. Sippet Coffee & Bagel has been a couple years in the making. The drive-thru-only business has 20 flavors of bagels and five cream cheese flavors.

Bode said there are only three types of bagels available each day. The three bagels of the day are listed on Sippet’s webpage.

Bode said the greatest challenge is keeping vehicles from stacking up on the street. He said customers are allowed to walk through the drive-thru if they have no car. The busiest time of day is mid-morning around 9:30 a.m.

The drive-thru is open 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to noon on Sundays.
