On Friday, three members of MVL’s speech team competed at the class A Minnesota State Speech Meet at Wayzeta High School after advancing from their Section tournament last week. Sophomore Emma Niebuhr (right) and junior Lauren Schauer (left) both competed in the Extemporaneous Reading category, and senior Elizabeth Kassuelke (center) competed in Poetry. Elizabeth advanced to finals, winning 4th place overall in the Poetry category at the Minnesota State Speech Competition
