NEW ULM — The latest coffee hot spot for hot coffee is Sippet Coffee & Bagels.

The new drive-thru coffee shop is located at 701 N. German St. and is officially open for business.

Sippet owner and manager Aron Bode said their goal is to offer more choices of strong, robust coffee to New Ulm.

“We need coffee,” Bode said. “New Ulm needs more coffee.”

In addition to the coffee and bagels hinted at in the name, Sippet also serves latte, Americano, frappe, mocha, chai, hot chocolate and cold brew coffees.

Bode said Sippet’s ingredients and coffee blends are sourced from a locally-owned and operated roaster in Wisconsin.

The New York-style bagels are handcrafted and baked in-house each morning.

Sippet offers a variety of bagel flavors such as old-fashioned plain, cinnamon raisin, french toast, jalapeno and more.

“We have 20 flavors,” Bode said. “But we’re not going to rock all 20 flavors in a day. We’ll run [flavors] in threes.”

Bode said Sippet will alternate bagel flavors throughout the week with three flavors being offered each day.

Sippet also has house-made flavored cream cheese with options such as blueberry, cheddar chive and maple.

The drive-thru is open 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to noon on Sundays.
